Week 7: Midpoint Survey/Reflection

We've hit about the midterm point in our course, and it's time for us to check in to see how things are going for you and for this course. In the ungraded, untimed survey that follows, you'll see that I'm asking you to write a little bit to me about four considerations:

What are you doing well in this course? 

What am I doing well in this course? 

What could you do to improve in this course? 

What could I do to improve this course?

I approach teaching and learning from a growth mindset and I think there's always room to improve on both ends--yours and mine. Before our time together ends, let's figure out how we can make this course a richer, more rewarding experience for you, me, and future students. 

Of course, I can't do everything, but I will read and I will make changes where I'm able. If I can't implement the changes you suggest this semester, then I'll aim to do so for the next group of students I teach in this course. 

Likewise, I expect that the honesty and candor you show to me you'll show to yourself. I want you to share with me what you're proud of because you've done it so well. On the flipside, I want you to think hard about ways for yourself to improve. You've still got half a semester to be a better version of yourself than before. Let's identify opportunities for improvement and let me know how I can help you in those areas.
