You should still be working on your collaborative project. At this point, you should be starting the project's introduction and researching your place. The drafting process in the brainstorming stage should be going on. What are some precursory answers to your group's question? How will your essay serve a larger purpose when grouped with all of the others? Start writing down ideas for your essay's controlling idea and tentative truth and heart. Figure out how you are going to build it and if that stylistic choice will serve the group's project as a whole.

THEN, watch the great David Weinberger discuss a really cool concept called Networked Knowledge! This was a radical idea that I stumbled upon years ago in his book, Too Big To Know. In it, he states 'The room is the smartest person in the room" now. What the heck does that mean? More importantly, how does that apply to collaboration and group work? Watch the video below and think critically about how you can apply this knowledge to your practice of true collaboration.
