As part of the Barnes & Noble/Lion Book Bundle transition, it is important that we remove any old links connected to the “Textbook and Course Materials” button on your course homepage (Norton Links) and replace them with the updated Canvas Course Page titled:

“Lion Book Bundle: Purchasing Course Materials.”

Below are step-by-step instructions to help you make this update.

Step 1: Remove the Old Link from the Homepage Button

Go to your Canvas course homepage.
Click Edit (top right).
Locate the “Textbook and Course Materials” button on your homepage.
Click directly on the button or the linked text so it is selected.
Click the link icon in the Rich Content Editor toolbar.
Choose Remove Link (or unlink icon).
Click Save.

This removes the outdated link that sends students to the incorrect or discontinued resource.

Step 2: Link the Button to the Correct Canvas Course Page

With the homepage still in Edit mode, highlight the “Textbook and Course Materials” button/text again.
Click the link icon in the Rich Content Editor.
Select Course Links from the right-hand panel.
Choose Pages.
Select the page titled “Lion Book Bundle: Purchasing Course Materials.” (If you are using your own courses - not the Master Courses - you will need to first upload this page from our English/INRW Department course). I have completed this for you if you are using Master Courses.
Confirm the link is attached correctly.
Click Save.

Step 3: Double-Check Your Work

Click the “Textbook and Course Materials” button as a student would.
Confirm that it opens the Lion Book Bundle: Purchasing Course Materials Canvas page.
